CASUAL CHIC

Growing up in a small beach town there are not many places to take street style inspired pictures with the city vibe I love, so I have to improvise... I decided to go to some rocks right on the ocean to shoot this look. I am wearing I.AM.GIA Gridlock pants... an Australian brand I am obsessing over at the moment, a brand that has a curated collection between edgy and contemporary casual pieces that I have recently been searching for to add into my wardrobe. My crop top is Naked Wardrobe... obviously. Naked Wardrobe is a brand that I having been going to for years for basic neutral pieces. Definitely a brand that I would recommend to everyone I have never had issues with sizing and they use a soft, stretchy thick material for all there clothing that you can't go wrong with. And lastly, my forever favorite shoes... the Gucci Princetown Slipper this time in black leather. A pair of shoes that will keep your feet warm in this cold weather and always looking stylish as well.

Track Pants I'm into at the moment:
-Naked Wardrobe Always on Track pants
-Kasumi Pant
-I.AM.GIA Kleo Sweatpants
-I.AM.GIA Blaster Pant
-Guizio Nylon Track Pant
-Guizio Godspeed Tracksuit

BUNDLED IN BLACK

Hi! I'm back!! December has been a chaotic month for me between traveling, final exams and work I have been non stop but FINALLY I have a second to breathe and get back to blogging throughout my winter break!

Any East Coaster can back me up when I say that the days keep getting significantly colder and colder, so I decided to bundle up with my [BLANKNYC] oversized shearling jacket, that is so universal and can be worn with leggings and sneakers if your heading to the gym or to get coffee but can also be worn with jeans and booties or regular boots. I am wearing it with a pair of AG high rise skinnys that are probably one most comfortable skinny jeans I own, literally fit like a glove. I added some color to the outfit with the Stuart Weitzman Grandiose cactus suede booties, which I am obsessing over this olive green color that contrasts perfectly with the jeans and jacket. Lastly, I accessorized the outfit with my new black Gucci soho chain leather cross body bag.

Other shearling jackets I'm into at the moment:
- Urban Sherpa Gab Jacket
-Topshop Faux Shearling Biker
-Finsbury Cropped Faux
-Acne Studios Linne Shearling (So obsessed with this one)
-Acne Studios Velocite Leather (My [BLANK NYC] one is so similar to this one & much cheaper lol)

Hope you all have a lovely holiday!

NYC

Camo has been a print that has really stuck over the years and always finds it's way to be a trendy but unique look. I found these camo pants on Naked Wardrobe and couldn't resist. Camo is a style that works for me because it gives you the edgy casual feel with the leather jacket and vans but you are also able to dress it up with heels if you want to because they are fitted at the bottom. I also find that camo is a good neutralizer, it goes with most pieces and looks even better with black, white or nude in my eyes.

Here are a couple quick shots of me in my Naked Wardrobe camo pants at Grand Central and out and about around the city for some inspo on how to wear camo pants and where you can cop a cute affordable pair at Naked Wardrobe!

COLD CITY DAYS

Sooo... these past couple days I went up to the city to visit my friend Rebecca to go see a concert and go hang out in the city visiting museums. We visited the MOMA (The Museum of Modern Art) located in Midtown Manhattan featuring all different kinds of modern art, we were particularly interested in the fashion exhibit on the evolution of clothing but the museum also show cased beautiful art work and work from artists from all over the world. After the MOMA I went to visit the Louis Vuitton VVV exhibit that is showing for only a few months, showcasing the evolution of the ingenious brand that has made traveling so effortless, luxurious and uniquely fashionable.

The first day I was in the city it was freezing so I decided to try my best to stay warm with a big J.Crew cashmere sweater (I actually have two shirts on under the sweater lol because none of my jackets would fit over the arms of my sweater!! perfect tip for still staying warm without a jacket over your bulky sweaters.) and my Gucci fur slippers, I paired them with a pair of black ripped PAIGE denim jeans and Cèline cat eye glasses.
 Thanks for visiting!!

BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS

Keeping warm on days that aren't cold enough for a jacket can be difficult to find something warm enough but not too warm to wear. This Frame Denim Duster is perfect for being comfortably warm and still looking chic on a fall afternoon.
I paired the duster with the iconic J'adore Dior 8 shirt, known for being seen on idol Carrie Bradshaw from Sex And The City 2 movie. Also pairing the outfit with these grey super skinny raw hem Hudson Jeans. Finishing the look off with my new "Intentionally _____" leather boot.
From leather booties to over the knee boots no winter wardrobe is fully complete without a new pair of boots (mine are these "Intentionally _____" one's). If you invest in a nice pair of boots they tend to last much longer than a cheaper pair but.... taking care of them is key to having them last you.  Here are a couple tips for breaking in your new boots and helping them withstand age as well as there form.

1. Stuff them when not being used.

Stuffing your boots while they are sitting in your closet is your best bet at keeping the shape you want them to remain in after breaking them in. There are many things you could stuff them with like towels, tennis balls, or boot stuffers that you can find sometimes at Marshall's or even your nearest Walmart.

  2. Weather Proof them.

Whether you want to wear your boots in the rain or the snow or just to help you look cute in the chilly weather this winter, protecting them is the only way they will last because the elements can really start to take a toll on them after a few times out in the rain or snow. After doing some research on the top boot protecting products I found that Otter Wax had some really good reviews and is affordable! Otter Wax is made with natural ingredients to ensure that all types of leather stay nourished, soft and waterproof.

Let me know if you try Otter Wax and how it worked on your boots!

STATEMENT SLEEVES

It almost has felt like we haven't even had fall this year on the East Coast due to October being so warm and now the beginning of November feeling like its mid January. Although the leaves on the trees do scream fall weather so I thought it would be the perfect way to capture this fall statement sleeve blouse I am obsessing over. I mean who doesn't love a shirt with a eye catching sleeve, whether they are boldly embellished or playfully pleated they effortlessly add just what you need to a outfit.

This top is by a newer brand called Guest Editor, which is a contemporary clothing brand with a modern feminine twist, with perfect quality pieces at a more affordable price. You can find this brand at places like Nordstrom, Anthropologie and in the contemporary section of Marshall's.

The jeans I am wearing are from [BLANKNYC] (Similar style here). My favorite part about these jeans is the lace up detail from the bottom of the jeans to the calf. Black jeans are a style that basically matches with everything and can be dressed up more than regular blue jeans. They also pair perfectly with these Patent Leather ASOS Booties!!

FLORALS? FOR FALL? GROUNDBREAKING.

According to The Devil Wears Prada's, Miranda Priestly, florals for spring are groundbreaking but why not be different and sport florals this fall?

Kimono's are a style that I love because they can turn any plain standard outfit into a unique look that no one else is sporting. I got this one from Zara believe it or not! And love how it has three different patterns on it, so every way you turn you are getting a different vibe instead of looking at just one specific print. The best part is the velvet trim on the sleeves and outlining the whole garment as well as the tie.

I paired the kimono with a pure white tank top and a straight legged pair of Levi's (similar style in lighter wash) that I cuffed that the bottom to enhance the look of my Jeffery Campbell black suede heels (similar style with thicker heel). I accessorized the outfit with my Topshop sunnies featured in previous posts along with my Tory Burch black with gold detail crossbody.

B&W

I said it before and I'll say it again, Moto jackets are EVERYTHING!! Especially this interchangeable vest and jacket Rebecca Minkoff one!

These show stopping Quay Cafe Racer sunnies in matte black are hard to miss and perfect to hide a hangover. I recently have been trying to switch some of my wardrobe to a more cozy vibe, these Hudson Avery Sweats are one of the many cozy styles I will be adding to my lineup this winter. Who doesn't want to look fashionable and be comfortable at the same time? It's the best of both worlds.

The ultimate cozy shoes are these to die for Duckie Confetti Fox slides, Duckie is a clothing designer based in NYC specializing in custom dresses, jerseys and jackets as well as slides, hats and more. Duckie's work, specifically these black slides have been seen on the Kardashian's and some of his other amazing pieces seen on Beyoncè, French Montana, Amber Rose, Meek Mill and more.
